WASHINGTON – Those finding themselves with no time to grill out this holiday weekend may be turning to an old standby — fast food.
And, while everyone has a favorite burger place, a national survey recently found the best tasting.
In its first-ever major ratings of fast food restaurants, Consumer Reports found West Coast chain In-N-Out Burger topped the burger charts.
The Southern California favorite captured the No. 1 spot for its food, service, value and speed, according to Consumer Reports.
The survey, based on responses from more than 36,000 subscribers, found that the big four U.S. fast food chains had “uninspiring food” and “only so-so service.”
Also earning high marks in the survey is Chick-fil-A, which topped KFC and all other chicken chains, with high scores for food, value, speed and the politeness of staff.
For south-of-the-border cuisine, Chipotle Mexican Grill beat out eight other Mexican food chains, including Taco Bell.
