Downtown Houston, Eleanor Tinsley Park at Buffalo Bayou July 4 from 4 – 10 p.m. Admission: Free with donation of one canned food item per person.

• Houston Symphony’s Star Spangled Salute

Miller Outdoor Theater July 4 at 8:30 p.m. Admission: Free; tickets available at box office from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on July 4

• Baytown

Baytown’s July 4th Celebration Bicentennial Park July 4 at 3:30 – 10 p.m. Parade at 5:30 p.m. Fireworks at 9:30 p.m. Call 281-420-6597 for more information.

• Friendswood

116th annual Friendswood Fourth of July Celebration Parade: 10 a.m., begins on F.M. 518 at Heritage Drive Fireworks: 9:20 p.m. at Centennial Park Call 281-996-3220 for more information.

• Galveston

Parade: July 4 at 10 a.m., Santa Fe Place at 25th Fireworks: July 4 at 9:15 p.m., 3600 Seawall Boulevard Call 888-GAL-ISLE for more information.

• Katy

22nd Annual Katy Freedom Celebration Katy Mills Mall Fireworks start at dark (about 9 p.m.)

• Kemah

Fireworks: July 4 at 9:30 p.m., over Galveston Bay Admission: Free For more information, call 281-535-8113

• Lake Jackson

Fireworks show canceled due to dry conditions.

• Magnolia

Annual Fourth of July Celebration Unity Park July 4, begins at 6 p.m. Fireworks: 9:20 p.m.

• Missouri City

26th Annual Red, White and Bluefest Oyster Creek Park July 4, 5 to 10 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. For more information, call 281-275-2825.

• Webster

4th of July Celebration Texas Avenue Park July 4, 5 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. For more information, call 281-332-1826.

• The Woodlands

14th Annual Red, Hot and Blue Festival Town Green Park and Waterway Square July 4, 6 to 10 p.m. Admission: Free FIREWORKS canceled because of drought conditions.
