No matter how successful Big Gigantic gets, the duo still sounds like Boulder. Nocturnal doesn’t represent any drastic changes, but it’s another solid, danceable record. Saxophonist and producer Dominic Lalli and drummer Jeremy Salken once again take some funky live instrumentation and blend in hip-hop and dub beats, resulting in a sound some might call “jamtronica.” It sums up Big Gigantic pretty nicely, but term doesn’t really do the music justice, mostly because it just sounds bad. Thousands more people will gain access to affordable health care when OneWorld Community Health Centers completes its expansion next year.

OneWorld, based at the Livestock Exchange Building near 30th and L Streets, already is the largest provider of primary health care services in South Omaha. The expansion will add two four-story buildings on either side of the Exchange Building, providing additional clinic space and 32 units of affordable housing for senior citizens.

Wednesday morning’s groundbreaking ceremony marked the start of construction.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) – Kim Kardashian, can’t you pay more? Proponents of a proposed tax increase on millionaires in California are asking that question of the outsize personality, who has parlayed her reality TV celebrity status into fame and personal fortune.

An online video from the Courage Campaign targets the star of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” as part of its campaign for a proposed November ballot initiative to raise taxes on the wealthiest Californians.

The video ad flashes images of Kardashian enjoying the good life, proclaiming that “being on TV has changed my life, because you get lots of free stuff.”

It says Kardashian made $12 million in 2010 but paid just 1 percentage point more in California income taxes than someone making $47,000 – 10.3 percent vs.

Lady Gaga is the top earning female music artist for 2011, according to Forbes.com.

LADY Gaga has topped this year’s Top Earning Women in Music List.

According to Forbes.com, the ‘Marry the Night’ singer earned more than double of any other female pop stars over the past 12 months, raking in an impressive $US90 million (AUD90.99 million) in 2011.

Country singer Taylor Swift was second with $US45 million (AUD45.5 million) with Katy Perry closely behind her on $44 million (AUD44.48 million).
