Actor Chord Overstreet, who debuted as the “trouty-mouth” choir member Sam Evans on the hit FOX show “Glee” this past season, will not be making a repeat performance in Season 3, according to reports.
The actor tweeted Friday, “It’s been a good year. Too bad it’s over. Time for summer and starting fresh.”
Darren Criss, who plays Blaine Anderson, and Harry Shum Jr., as Mike Chang, are being picked up as full-time regulars. “Glee” showrunner Ryan Murphy recently revealed many of the show’s major characters will graduate high school next year and may be written out of the program.
“We didn’t want to have a show where they were in high school for eight years,” Murphy said.

(NewsCore) – Maria Shriver has been inundated with offers to host TV shows since her split with Arnold Schwarzenegger but has turned them all down, TMZ reported Wednesday.
Sources from broadcast and cable networks told the website Shriver was deluged with offers to anchor news shows, join news organizations and host talk shows, but said she wanted to concentrate on being a mother to her children Patrick, 17, Christopher, 13, Katherine, 21, and Christina, 19.
Shriver, 55, filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger, 63, earlier in July, setting the stage for what could be one of the costliest celebrity break-ups in history.
She cited “irreconcilable differences” as her reason for ending the 25-year marriage, following the news her husband fathered a child with a former household staff member.
It is thought Shriver could obtain a divorce settlement approaching $200 million.

That’s a shame because people actually go out of their way to note how her writing style differs from the typical hack. They

What other rock band would dare interpret something by Hungarian composer Bela Bartok?, another wonders.
Peanut Brittle Satellite was born in a Buffalo basement in 2007. Four years later, the band has affirmed its status as our region’s most daring, experimental and virtuosic rock band with the release of “Planet Girth.”
The Peanut Brittle Satellite lads — guitarist Zack Mikida, bassist Ian Machniak, keyboardist Zach Kushner, drummers Shawn Brandel and Ryan Campbell and violinist Evan Courtin — are not just at the forefront of Buffalo’s independent music scene.

A knockout performance by Idina Menzel one expects. A total lack of pretentiousness on the part of a superstar ones does not.
Maybe aficionados of Menzel’s work on stage and screen were prepared for the vocalist’s dynamic, disarming manner in her collaboration with the Cleveland Orchestra Saturday night at Blossom Music Center. The rest of us were taken by surprise.
Where many artists in her position might treat a show in Cleveland like a chore, Menzel treated it as a highlight of her career, taking great care not only to entertain but also to connect. Wit

“Wash and hull 16 ounces of strawberries. I like to spray the strawberries with an all natural fruit and veggie wash when washing. Place the 16 ounces of strawberries in a blender with one teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 cup sugar, 2 cups ice and 1 1/2 cups milk. Blend until well blended and ice is crushed. (Optional, add vanilla yogurt in place of all or part of the milk).”
