Golden Dragon, Foxwoods (FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO)
Foxwoods Resort Casino joins the summer food event circuit with two upcoming events: a Summer Seafood festival July 30 and Backyard BBQ festival Aug. 20.
Held in the Premier Ballroom from noon to 8 p.m. each day, both events are free with a Dream Card. Food and beverage tickets are $1 apiece, with most items ranging from one to four tickets.
The Summer Seafood festival features chowders and bisques, full lobster dinners and beer-battered cod, stuffed clams, steamed mussels, fried clam strips, assorted salads, pie, gelato and other treats. The BBQ event features pulled pork po-boys, baby back ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, hush puppies, barbecue roasted chicken, chili, cornbread, collard greens and desserts like Mississippi mud pie and Rocky Road brownies.
Foxwoods’ casual Asian restaurant, Golden Dragon, is now offering traditional dim sum options on Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Items include steamed shu mai, spareribs in black bean sauce, sticky rice and a variety of rice noodle rolls or congee. Golden Dragon is located on the Casino Level, Pequot Trail.
